Ernest Tevis "Ted" Nance, Jr. 90, passed away Monday, May 5, 2025. Born in Winston-Salem April 16, 1935, to Ernest Tevis "E.T." and Marie Edith Porter Nance. Ted graduated from RJ Reynolds and was the owner of Nance Stock Farm.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and son Michael.
Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Cynthia and their blended family which includes, daughters, Lisa (Bob) Styles and Deena (Jack) Hodges; sons, Ernest Tevis (Tad) Nance, III and David (Susan) Cain; daughter-in-law, Vickie Nance; grandchildren, Stephanie (Eric) Prim, Max (Courtney) Pardon, Ernest Tevis Nance, IV (Brianna Austin), Ashley (Gileno) Fonseca, Candie Casey and Rocky Cain; great-grandchildren, Avery Pardon, Gavin, Rylen and Jaxyn Prim, Trey Casey and Jackson Fonseca; and cousin, Joyce Porter Hollifield.
Family and friends will gather at the home of Tad Nance in Clemmons.
The family will receive friends at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek on Friday, May 16, 2025, from 6 to 8 p.m. Services will be held at Calvary Baptist Church (on Peacehaven Rd) on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at 10:30 a.m., with Dr. Gary Chapman and Rev. Truett Williams officiating. A committal service at Flat Rock Baptist Church Hamptonville will immediately follow the church service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Ln., Winston-Salem, NC 27103 or your local animal shelter.

I only knew Mr Nance from church at Calvary Baptist and the several lovely and fun church class get togethers at his farm. I would like to express my regret to his wife and family on the loss of their loved one.
