Deacon Ernest Ramsey

Deacon Ernest Ramsey, age 90, passed away peacefully on September 14, 2025 at Cambridge Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born on February 22, 1935 in Kingstree, South Carolina to the late Joseph Ramsey, Sr. and Annie Lou Gadson Ramsey. He served honorably in the U.S. Army and retired from the US Postal Service after 55 years of service. He completed his assignments with dedication and faithful commitment. He will be lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Charlotte L. Ramsey, two sons; Ronald Ramsey and wife Crystal and Ernest Dow, five daughters; Gloria Morris, Errica McFadden, Jennifer Ramsey and husband Anthony Pryor, Sonia Ramsey and Deidra Ramsey, his stepson; Kevin Rhodes, two step daughters; Deborah Moore and Pamela Brue and husband Glenn, two sisters; Mary Nelson and Annie Felder and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, September 24, 2025 from 10:00 am – 11:00 am followed by a service of celebration at 11:00 am at Grace Baptist Church, 17 West Ave., Norwalk, CT., Rev. Dr. Lindsay E. Curtis officiant. Interment will follow at Mt. Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport.
