Cary Lee Ramsey, age 84, of Galena, Ohio passed away peacefully on Friday, September 12, 2025, at home following an extended illness. He was born in Clay County, West Virginia on September 24, 1940, to the late Elihue Ramsey and Arlene (Brown) Ramsey.

On September 15, 1967, he married the love of his life, Elizabeth Hutton in Charleston, West Virginia. Together they shared 52 years of marriage.

Cary graduated from Clear Fork High School in West Virginia. He worked for Smith's Transfer and CF Trucking and had a long career of over the road truck driving. Cary enjoyed talking on and listening to his CB Radio while on his trucking journeys.

He had a love of the West Virginia Mountains, bluegrass gospel music, and cowboy westerns. Cary had a wonderful sense of humor. He was a true friend and would take anyone in and give them the shirt off his back. For Cary, family always came first. He was someone you could count on, and he made the world a better place. Cary will be forever remembered, loved and missed by all who were blessed to know him.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Lisa (Jack) Johnson; sons, Mark and Kevin Ramsey; granddaughter, Stephanie Ferner with great-grandchildren, Jovani, Dahlia, Italia, and Luna; granddaughter, Haley (Derek) Lee with great-grandchildren, Parker, Eleanor, Juniper and Mallory.

Friends are welcome to attend a Celebration of Life at Lisa's home on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at 12:00 Noon.
