Ernestine Heringshausen

It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Ernestine (Fortier) Heringshausen, who left us peacefully on November 15, 2025. For 66 beautiful years, she was the devoted wife and life partner of Dennis. Together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering commitment.
She will be forever cherished by her children Rene, Mark (Kim), and Michael (Janet); her granddaughter Brittney Armour (Jesse): and her two great-grandchildren, Lydia and Jack Armour. She is also lovingly remembered by her brother Norman Fortier, and by many extended family members and dear friends whose lives she touched with kindness and grace.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors - Capstick Chapel, 542 Liberty Park, Lapeer, MI 48446, on November 20, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A service celebrating her life will follow, at 1:00 PM with Father Ron Jozwiak officiating, after which a meal will be served at E.G. Nicks, 825 S. Main Street, Lapeer in her memory.
She will be laid to rest at Mount Hope Cemetery in Lapeer, where she will rest in eternal peace.
Her love, strength, and gentle spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
