**Obituary for Ervin DeWayne Coogle**
Ervin DeWayne Coogle, age 51, passed away on July 1, 2025, at the University of Louisville Hospital. He was born on September 14, 1973, in Louisville, Kentucky, to Ervin L. and Dorothy Kulmer Coogle.
DeWayne had a passion for basketball, especially cheering for the Celtics and following the coaching of Rick Pitino. His career as a meat cutter spanned multiple stores in the Louisville area.
DeWayne is preceded in death by his beloved mother, Dorothy Coogle. He is survived by his father, Ervin L. Coogle and his wife, LaVerne, of Shepherdsville, along with his sister Sue Kane and her husband Mike of Louisville.
In accordance with DeWayne's wishes, a private graveside service has been held at Brookland Cemetery in Shepherdsville. He will be fondly remembered by his family and friends, and his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
