Estella Reba Chadwick, 90, of Daleville passed away at her home on June 8, 2025. She was born on February 22, 1935, to the late Robert and Irene (Carr) Scott.
A lifelong resident of the Daleville area, Estella's journey began with her education in the local schools, which fostered a love for learning and community that would resonate throughout her life.
Estella was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary group at the local legion. Her passions extended far beyond community service. Estella loved to travel, particularly enjoying adventures in their RV with her beloved husband of 52 years. Together, they made countless cherished memories with their fellow travel group and friends, exploring the beauty of Arizona and creating bonds that would last a lifetime.
Family was central to Estella's life; she delighted in spending quality time with her grandchildren, nurturing their lives and imparting wisdom gleaned from her own experiences. She found joy in hobbies such as bowling, crafting, and collecting Native American dolls.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Vickie (Tom) Butler, Connie (Ed) Alfrey, Bill (Gwen) Harman, Teresa (Benny) Molina, Lisa Watson, and Cindy; brother, Rodger (Ann) Scott; 15 grandchildren, several great and great great grandchildren, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, Estella was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles Chadwick; siblings, Roberta Reeves, Floyd Scott, and Rex Scott; and her grandson, Jason Byington.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 14, 2025 at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home in Middletown, IN, with Pastor Ned Clark officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory in Muncie. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association at 7272 Greenville Ave. Dallas, TX 75231.
