Estha Juanita Colundjia, 72, of Masury, Ohio, a cherished mother, wife, and friend, peacefully entered eternal rest on Thursday, April 17th, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Hospital. Born on September 15th, 1952, in Galveston, Texas, she was the beloved daughter of Thomas and Marion Hammock.
Following the passing of her mother in 1968, Estha moved to Tampa, Florida, to live with her sister Bert. She embraced life with enthusiasm, surrounded by the love of family and friends, and traveled on many adventures across the United States. It was in Florida, during the mid-1980s, that Estha met Samuel Colundjia. They welcomed their son, Ian, in 1987, who became the center of her world. Estha and Samuel married in April 1988. At that time, Estha was working as an optical technician for LensCrafters. After many fulfilling years in Tampa, Estha, along with Sam and Ian, relocated to the eastern Ohio/Western Pennsylvania area, where she devoted herself to raising her son.
Estha had a passion for crafting, particularly creating wreaths, bows, and home decor. Her love for music was profound, having grown up during the Rock 'n' Roll era. She cherished memories of attending concerts by legendary bands such as The Beatles and Led Zeppelin. Estha had a compassionate heart for animals, and over the years, she cared for numerous dogs, cats, and birds. In her later years, she adopted several stray cats from her neighborhood and contributed to animal rescues whenever possible. Photography was another of her interests, and she favored using her 35mm Canon camera to capture life's moments.
In addition to her parents, Estha was preceded in death by her sisters Roberta Cannon and Joanne Hammock, and her brother Roy Hammock. She is survived by her loving husband, Samuel Colundjia, her son, Ian Colundjia, and his wife, Rachel Martin.
Honoring Estha's wishes, she will be cremated, and her ashes will be spread among her parents' grave in Tampa, Florida, and the resting places of her beloved animals. A wake will be held at Muscarella's in Sharpsville on Friday April 25th, 2025 from 3:00-6:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Love, Vincent at lovevincent.org or Facebook page Love, Vincent, a nonprofit organization that Estha passionately supported throughout her life.
Estha Juanita Colundjia will be deeply missed, and her spirit will continue to inspire all who knew her. May she rest in peace.
