Esther Guadalupe Murua

November 24, 1943 – December 8, 2024

Esther Guadalupe Murua, age 81, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2024, at St. David’s Hospital in Austin, Texas, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on November 24, 1943, in Brownsville, Texas, Esther was the cherished daughter of Noberto De La Rosa and Elida T. De La Rosa. She attended Brownsville High School and dedicated her life to her family, leaving a legacy of love and resilience.

Esther is survived by her son, Mario Manuel Murua III (Laura); daughters, Michele Elida Duran (Esteban) and Esther Francisca Murua (Eduardo); her sister, Estella Atkinson; 20 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughters, Maxine Murua Garcia and Melissa Monique Murua; and her grandsons, Noberto Murua and Manuel Murua.

She was the most devoted mother and grandmother she embodied unconditional love, nurturing, selflessness & guidance. Whether she prayed for you directly or simply lived out her faith in her actions, that kind of devotion creates a legacy that endures in the hearts of those she loved. She was a protector, and guide for her children and grandchildren. She took so much joy in her family life celebrating both big and small moments for everyone. Her presence was a source of strength, warmth, and support. Whether she was coloring , doing word puzzles or praying she was always incredible at all of them. The memories she created with us are treasures we hold dear, and her legacy will continue to be cherished and honored, now and forever.

Visitation will be held on December 20, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at All Faith Funeral Services located
