Ethel Theresa McGuffee, age 94, of Gulfport, passed away on September 18, 2024.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Ray McGuffee; a son, David Thomas; a daughter, Bonnie Lee Grimstead (Richard); and a son-in-law, Steve Delaney.

Mrs. McGuffee is survived by her children, Theresa Murray (Danny), Annette Delaney, Dan McGuffee (Tehle), and John McGuffee (Lisa); her grandchildren, Greg Murray (Vicki), Jason Murray (Tiffany), Jennifer Arde (Warren), Justin McGuffee (Molly), Shelly Miller (Bill), Stephanie Mills (Stevie), Sherry Brewer, Sabrina Ladner (Freddie), Steven McGuffee (Margaret), Rick Grimstead, and Abby Seamans (Robert); several great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, and other relatives and friends.

Mrs. McGuffee was a native of Charleston, South Carolina and was a longtime resident of Gulfport. She retired after many years of service as a cashier at A & P Grocery in Long Beach. 

The family would like to thank the staff of Gentiva Hospice, especially Doug Rosenthal and Jamie for the care and support.

Visitation will be on Saturday, September 21, 2024, from 10 – 11 am at the Riemann Family Funeral Home, 19130 Commission Road, Long Beach. The funeral service will be at 11 am in the funeral home chapel. Entombment will be in Gulf Pines Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105
