Ethel Colleen Bowen-Stricklan, age 77 of Salmon passed away on October 11th in Salmon.
Ethel was born to Pearl and Maxine Mann-Bowen June 4th, 1948, at the Stines Maternity home in Salmon Idaho. She was the 9th child in a family of 12. Ethel married Milton G Stricklan on June 6th, 1966. Their first child David was born in March of 1968. The next year in December 1969 their second son, Roy, was born. Three years later in April 1972 their daughter Adele was born. Ethel and Milt were divorced in June of 1988. Ethel attended Salmon schools. Ethel worked at Salmon River Industries, Timber Line and Whisky Willie's. Ethel enjoyed camping, fishing, riding horses, floating the river with her brothers and sisters, finding rocks and demolition derbies. Her hobbies were knitting, making Afghans, making dolls, and jewelry.
Ethel is survived by her two sons, David and wife, Jennifer Stricklan, Roy Stricklan, her daughter Adele and husband Shawn Cagle. Eight Grandchildren Amber Tellez, Sheena Wicks, Amanda Moore, Jamie Sharp-Wendlandt, Ashley Copley, Krista Stricklan, Brendon Trolinger, Autumn Stricklan. Twelve great grandchildren Ryder Paulson, Jasper Garrett, Jayce Garrett, Jaylee Garrett, Paige Allen, Erianna Wicks, Jaiden Wicks, Staushia Moore, Carl Johann Moore, Kylinn Moore, Brayson Moore, and AwnaLeeha Wendlandt. One great-great granddaughter Elizabeth Moore. Two sisters Anita Bowen, Marlene and husband Bob Bowen-Grissett, Four brothers Robert Bowen, Jess Bowen, Frank Bowen, Ronnie Bowen. Many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Pearl and Maxine Bowen, her partner Edward Fabin, her ex-husband Milt Stricklan, her sister Janet Pugh, her brothers Darril Bowen, Paul Bowen, Mike Bowen, Terry Bowen, and two nephews Timmy Porter and Alan Pugh, and two nieces Amy (Bowen) Dickerson, and Patty (Bowen) Rogers.
