Ethel Mae Tory

Ethel Mae "Sister" Tory, of Rockford departed this earthly life October 11, 2023. She was born January 14, 1947 in Indianola, MS the daughter of Eddie and Evelyn Finklea. Ethel lived in Rockford since 1971 coming from Chicago, IL. She married General Tory, of this union 4 children were born. Ethel was a member of 10th Street Church of Christ. She attended schools in Mississippi.
Ethel leaves to cherish many loving memories, son, Bruce Tory; daughter, Tanya Trammell; four grandchildren, Arkilah, Ronald, Ashlynn and Jauzlynn; three great grandchildren, Brandi, Jauzuah and Jendeya; two brothers, Richard (Joyce) Mack and Willie Finklea; three sisters, Minnie Bernard, Boria (William) Blankenship and Evelyn Finklea; a host of nieces, nephews, godchildren other relatives and friends including special friends, Chester and Doris Baker. She was predeceased by her parents, daughter Debra Finklea; and her son, twin brother of Debra; 4 brothers, her twin brother Solomon Finklea, Eddie Finklea, Major Finklea and Johnny Finklea.
Memorial services will be held 12:00 noon Friday, October 20, 2023 at Bethel Baptist Church 724 Harrison Ave. Doors will be open from 11:00 a.m.
