Eugene William Balke

Eugene W. Balke, age 93, of Appleton, passed away on Monday, August 25, 2025, at Brewster Village in Appleton. He was born to the late Bernard and Pearl (McNutt) Balke on November 7, 1931. Eugene married the love of his life Elaine Hull on May 8, 1952. Eugene proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He was known as a hard worker and was well respected in the Printing Ink Business. Eugene was a loving father and loved the outdoors. He enjoyed spending time on his 40 acres cutting firewood, hunting and fishing. He was also a barbershopper for many years.

Eugene is survived by his children: Mark Balke, Pamela (Bradley) Vander Linden and Todd (Donna) Balke; his grandchildren: Lauren, Mike, Ayron (CC), Ian (Emmylou), Nathan (Claudia), Todd "TJ", and Shawn (partner Ashley); great grandchildren: Alex, Will, Jaz, Eden, Isla, Ruby, Maxwell, Sylas, Ezra and Allysa; 3 siblings: Roy, Evelyn and Don as well as other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Elaine; six siblings: Ben, Ronald, Germaine, Loraine, Mary and Betty and granddaughter Danielle.

Per Eugene's wishes, no formal services will be held.
