Our beloved Eugene Bonner, Jr., age 63, of Austin, Texas was called by our Heavenly Father on Monday, August 26, 2019.
He was preceded in death by his uncles, Frank Bonner, Shorty Bonner, George Bonner, R.C. Bonner, Lee Earnest Thompson and David Thompson; aunts, Florence McKissack, Elsie Karo, Loula Mae Bradley, Chula Griffin, and Julia Glascoe; grandparents, Bubba and Frances Bonner, and Lettie Lee Thompson; and great grandparents, Link and Mamie Thompson.
He is survived by his children, Sharmet Shalice Bonner, and Glenda Marie Bonner who were given to him through marriage to Karil Sue Evans; grandchildren, Sirron L. Davis and Haezel Haynes; parents, Bishop Eugene Michael Bonner and Mary Alice Thompson; siblings, Karen Hill (Darryl Jones), Sharon Mackson (Thomas), William Herron,Jr.,(Winell), Angela Herron, Evelyn Pugh, Lisa Bonner, Brenda Wooley (Plez), Patrick Bonner (Tricishaune) and A.D. Bonner; nieces and nephews, Chissy Jackson (Alton), Charity Wood (Lionel), Trulena Cooper, Tumeka Lewis; and great nieces and nephews, TJ Smith, Clinton Cooper, Jayda Cooper, Zachary Jackson, Xavier Jackson, Caleb Woods, and Joshua Woods. Eugene is also survived by numerous other loving family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. with a Funeral Service beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 6, 2019 at Sweethome Missionary Baptist Church, located at 1725 W 11th St, Austin, TX 78703. Interment will follow at Cook Walden Capital Parks.
