Eugene Curman Brock, Jr., 91, of 5000 Brock St, Myrtle Beach, went home to be with the Lord at his residence, July 10, 2025, leaving a natural and spiritual legacy to his family and those who knew him.

Born on March 17, 1934, in Conway, South Carolina, Mr. Brock was the eldest child of Eugene Curman Brock, Sr. and Dawzelle Olivia Herring, both deceased.
Mr. Brock often spoke of the two greatest things in his life. First, at the age of 15, after three nights of being under deep conviction for sin, he was saved by the grace of God, which opened up to him the whole kingdom of God. The second greatest was who he married, which opened up to him his family life.

In 1954, about four months after marriage, Mr. Brock was drafted into the United States Army for a two-year obligation and a six-year inactive military obligation. In June of 1962, he received his
Honorable Discharge. From 1959–1986, he served in various leadership capacities in the better days of the Boys Scouts of America, having a meaningful contribution upon the lives of many young men.

To provide for his family, Mr. Brock worked for years as a skilled mechanic and taught mechanics at Horry-Georgetown Technical College. He was gifted with many natural abilities, from his calligraphic style of writing to the art of blacksmithing. He certainly had a knack in a variety of compartments.

Mr. Brock was most known for a deep love for God, the Bible, faithful preachers, and God's people. He hungered for the preaching of God's Word and delighted in remaining after a service to enjoy the sweet fellowship of the dear saints of God. His and his wife's desire to worship God and walk in deeper truth led them at the age of 49 to make a spiritual exodus from a denominational system that was falling away from former biblical principles of truth and holiness. He and his wife were charter members of Emmanuel Bible Church in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina.

Over the years of his life, Mr. Brock endeavored to be faithful to the cause of Christ. He served his Savior as a husband, father, deacon, and Bible teacher. He was a lay minister with the Foundations Ministries and served as a member of the Board of Trustees.

A Funeral Service will be held July 15, 2025 at 11:00 am at Foundations Bible Collegiate Church in Dunn, North Carolina with Dr. H.T. Spence officiating. Burial will follow in the Paracleft Cemetery on the campus.

Preceding Mr. Brock in death was his wife of almost 67 years, Betty H. Brock whom he affectionately called "my Betty," their daughter Donna Marie Brock, and his brother, Charles Donald Brock.

Mr. Brock is survived by four sons, Eugene C. Brock III & (wife) Gail; Timothy C. Brock & (wife) Charlene; John E. Brock Sr. & (wife) Vicki all of Socastee, South Carolina; Rev. Anthony W. Brock &
(wife) Sonya of Dunn, North Carolina; a daughter, Karen E. McMahan & (husband) Jerry of Pittsboro, North Carolina; one brother, Roger Derrick Brock & (wife) Joyce of Socastee, South Carolina; Eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends July 15, 2025, from 9:30 am – 10:30 am in the sanctuary at Foundations Bible Collegiate Church in Dunn, North Carolina.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be given to Emmanuel Bible Church.
