Eugene R. Bubolz, age 85, passed away on Monday, September 18, 2023, at Pine Haven Christian Communities where he had been a resident for the last two years.
He was born in Sheboygan on January 21, 1938, to the late Raymond and Veronica (Kribs) Bubolz. He attended local schools and entered into the United States Air Force for four years.
On October 9, 1965, Eugene married Carol Hoffmann at St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Sheboygan. Together they had two sons, Jeffrey and Larry. Eugene was a youth baseball coach for many years and loved to make memories with his family. He was employed as a steam fitter at RP Honold, which is currently Aldag & Sons.
Eugene enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a member of the Steam Fitters Association for over 60 years and was also a member of the Howards Grove Athletic Association. Eugene was an avid collector of Breweriana.
Eugene is survived by his wife of 58 years, Carol; sons, Jeffrey (Kristin Meves) Bubolz and Larry (Erika Page) Bubolz; a granddaughter, Taylor Bubolz; sisters, Anita (Adam) Hartmann, Nancy Tewelis, Janice Free, Jean Henschel, and Carol (Jack) Dahler; nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Along with his parents, Eugene was preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law, Albert (Edna) Hoffmann and brothers-in-law, Marvin Free and Vernon Henschel.
A Funeral Service for Eugene will take place at 1:00 PM on Monday, September 25, 2023, at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 6706 Superior Ave., in Kohler. Family will greet visitors on Monday at Greenlawn Memorial Park from 11:00 AM until the time of the service. Entombment will take place at the Gardens of Peace Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Eugene's name can be made to either Trinity Lutheran Church in Howards Grove, the Howards Grove Athletic Association, Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice, or to Pine Haven Christian Communities.
The family would like to thank the staff at both Pine Haven Christian Communities and Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice for the excellent care given to Eugene, especially Tammy, Sadie and Dayne.
