Eugene "Gene" W. Ferrel, 92, of Paducah passed away at 6:38 AM on Sunday, April 6, 2025 at Baptist Health in Paducah.
Mr. Ferrell was a retired Real Estate Broker, member of East Baptist Church in Paducah, member of the American Legion, a Veteran of the Air Force during the Korean War, and a Licensed Aviation Inspector.
He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Margaret O'Connor Ferrel of Paducah; five sons, Eugene Ferrel Jr. (Diana) of Minneapolis, MN, James Ferrel (Cassie) of Davenport, IA, Robert Ferrel (Kimberly) of Benton, KY, Duane Ferrel (Melissa) of Chattanooga, TN, Daniel Ferrel of Ft. Myers, FL; one daughter, Diana Taylor (Mike) of Columbus, IN; one brother, Floyd J. Ferrel (Shirley) of Antioch, TN; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd Ferrel and Beryle (Ransom) Ferrel; two brothers, Donald Ferrel, James Ferrel; five sisters, Eva Brobston, Ethel Bishop, Elanor Hootman, Audrey Brown, Ederlye Moser.
Funeral services will begin at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at Hughes Funeral Home in Paducah with Rev. Michael Wooley officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow at Mt. Kenton Cemetery in Paducah.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Saturday at the funeral home.
