Eugene Guthals Obituary

Eugene went to and graduated from Clovis High School, he took some college classes and then went into the Army from November 20, 1964, to November 11, 1966. Eugene was a helicopter mechanic and aircraft mechanic, as well as a sharpshooter. He worked out at CAFB in H-Vac department, he retired from CAFB, and he worked as a handyman for elderly ladies. Gene was involved with the Methodist Church for many years. Gene married Betty, but he not only married Betty he married her 3 sons: Norman, Gary, and Tracy.
He is survived by his wife Betty; sons, Gary (Danielle) Coffey of Florida, Tracy (Kristie) Coffey of Clovis; sister Marcia of Texico; James Riley, six grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
We would like to thank Christie, the hospice nurse and staff, Dr. Thibideau, Melissa Lowe that worked closely with the family in the emergency room, and all the staff of the cancer center.
In lieu of flowers, we ask that you donate to the cancer center, church or a charity of your choice.
He is preceded in death by son; Norman Coffey, John and La rue Guthals, one brother, sisters-in-laws, brother-in-laws, nieces and nephews.
