Eugene Kornota Obituary
Raised in Chicago's Lincoln Park neighborhood, Eugene graduated from Abraham Lincoln Elementary School and Lincoln Park High School before attending Hampshire College in Amherst, Massachusetts.
Genie loved fashion, drag, gaming, baking, dancing, and caring for their plants.
Adored child of Eugene Kornota and Bonnie Ann Roberts-Kornota; loving younger sibling of Layla Jean Kornota and identical twin of Logan Charles Kornota.
Beloved grandchild of Charles and Lala Roberts, and Petro and Tekla Kornota. Cherished family of Helen (George) Horbenko; Charles Roberts; Jean (Joseph) Forst; Lawrence "Larry" Roberts; William "Billy" (Paulette Gallegas) Roberts; John (Donna) Roberts; and Patrick (Sandra) Roberts.
Genie is also survived by many cousins and friends, and by the family's three feline friends Mowgli, Dimitri, and Boo.
Friends and family are gathering to celebrate Genie's life on Sunday, October 8, from 4-8pm (service begins 5pm) at Fulton Market Kitchen, 311 N Sangamon St, Chicago, IL 60607.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in their name to Center on Halsted through DreamForGenie.org http://www.dreamforgenie.org/
