It is with deep sorrow and much love that we announce the passing of Lee Eugene Padgett, 62, of Conway, Arkansas, who went home to be with his Lord and Savior on August 14th, 2025, surrounded by many who loved him. Eugene was born on August 24, 1962 in Conway, Arkansas. Eugene lived a life marked by faith, kindness, humility, and unwavering devotion to his family and to God. Eugene was a deeply devoted husband, father, brother, and friend. He truly touched the lives of all who knew him with his warm heart, gentle spirit, and steadfast integrity. It was evident in his final few months of life the true impact he had on all who knew him. The stories shared will be deeply treasured by his family, and his legacy and testimony will leave a lasting impact on all who knew him.

Eugene was a faithful member of Central Baptist Church for many years, where he served with joy and dedication—as a deacon, in the Cafe Connect ministry, or simply as someone always ready to lend a hand or a listening ear. He lived his faith daily, not just in words but in action, embodying Christ’s love through his generosity, service, and quiet strength.

Eugene graduated from Conway High School in 1980, and attended college at Oklahoma State University and graduated in 1983. Eugene worked at Virco in Conway for 43 years in the Manufacturing Engineering department as a Senior Manufacturing Project Facilitator. He also served as a volunteer fireman with Wescon Fire Department and on the Faulkner County Emergency Squad for several years.

He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Lisa Hollway Padgett; his sons Hunter of Conway, and Trapper (Carly) of Carlisle, his sister Judy (Tavner) of Mt. Vernon and a host of extended family and dear friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Leon and Jean Padgett, and his brother Wayne Padgett all of Conway.

Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in knowing that he is now in the presence of the Lord, reunited with loved ones and embraced by eternal peace. His legacy of faith, love, and kindness will live on in all who were blessed to know him.

A celebration of Eugene’s life will be held on Tuesday, August 19th at 10:00 a.m. at Central Baptist Church in Conway with Brother Don Chandler officiating. Burial will follow at OaklandCemetery in Holland following the service. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 18th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Central Baptist Church in Conway. All are welcome to attend to honor and celebrate his life.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Renewal Ranch, Central Baptist College, Gideons International in his memory.
