Eugene Thomas Potts III (Tom) 76, of Louisville, KY passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at the Willows at Springhurst. He was born in Vicksburg, Mississippi on June 17, 1949. Tom was a Certified Public Accountant and a United States Army Veteran, serving in Vietnam.

Tom was preceded in death by his beloved parents Eugene Thomas Potts II and Theda Mae Potts, and also by his sister Linda Helen Potts.

Left to cherish his memory is his son Eugene "Tommy" Thomas Potts IV (Courtney Potts) and his daughter Tracie Nicole Adams (Rosalynn Nugent); his Grandchildren Addisyn and Maverick Potts; his favorite aunt Nancy Youngblood; family in Mississippi, Alabama, and Arkansas; special friend Dottie Harper and best friend Grandville Smith, plus others at The Willows; and fur babies Osha and Marley.

A huge thank you to The Willows at Springhurst for the love and care provided to Tom during his stay there.

Visitation will be held at Ratterman and Son's Funeral Home, 10600 Taylorsville Road on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 from 2:00-8:00 PM.

Tom had an amazing love for dogs and expressions of sympathy/donations may be made to the Kentucky Humane Society.
