Age 68, of Oakdale Passed away on October 13, 2024 after a courageous battle with cancer. Preceded in death by his father, Joseph Soler; mother, Valerie Soler, Sister-in-laws, Jane Soler and Cindy Soler. Survived by his brothers, Steven (Patti), Paul (Becky), Matthew (Lori), William, Robert, Richard, (Lynn); and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation from 9-10 AM with Memorial Service beginning at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at Sandberg Funeral Home, 2593 E. 7th Avenue, North St Paul. Memorials Preferred.

Gene and I worked together at Burger King in high school. Though it was a long time ago, my memories of Gene are vivid. We often cleaned the restaurant together after closing and that is when Gene came to life. His wisecracks and periodic singing had the crew in stitches. Thanks Gene for making work fun and for the frequent rides home.
