Eugene Thompson, Jr., a beloved husband, brother, and friend, was born on February 15, 1954, in Jenkins County, Georgia. Eugene left this world on August 3, 2025, in Augusta, Georgia, after a life that was filled with hard work, dedication, and love.

As a self-employed brick mason, Eugene was not just skilled with his hands; he was a true artist, shaping materials into lasting legacies that would stand the test of time. His craftsmanship was a reflection of his character—built with care and an unwavering commitment to quality. Eugene's work ethic stood as an example to all who knew him, showing that determination and diligence can create beautiful structures as well as a fulfilling life.

Eugene was deeply loved by his family. He is survived by his devoted wife, Robin Thompson, who was his partner in life and love. Together, they built a warm and welcoming home filled with laughter and cherished memories. His siblings and other relatives remember him not just as a family member but as a pillar of strength and support. Eugene possessed an extraordinary ability to connect with people, forging friendships that spanned beyond the years. His kindness, generosity, and infectious smile endeared him to many.

Eugene's life will be honored with a visitation on Friday, August 8, 2025, from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM at C.A. Reid Sr. Memorial Funeral Home in Augusta, Georgia. The funeral service will take place the following day, Saturday, August 9, at 4:30 PM, also at the same location, providing an opportunity for all to pay their respects and celebrate a life well-lived. He will be interred at Walker Memorial Park on August 9, 2025, starting at 5:45 PM, where friends and family will gather to say their final goodbyes in a serene setting.

Eugene Thompson, Jr.'s legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved him. He leaves behind a world that was brighter and more beautiful for having known him. He will be missed dearly, but his spirit, love, and remarkable life will forever be remembered.
