He was preceded in death by: his parents, Walt and Martha; and his siblings, Vince, Don and Joyce. Gene is survived by: his children, Steven (Terri) Weninger, David (Darcy)Weninger, Becky (John)Willson, Lisa Brown, Ronald and Ted Weninger; his siblings, Paul and Jerome Weninger, Patty (Greg) Kraus and Nancy (Larry) Gray; 15 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Recitation of the rosary will be said at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 10, and the funeral mass will be at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, November 11th both at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Colwich. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to: Sacred Heart Catholic Church Music Ministry, 311 S. 5th St. Colwich, KS 67030 or to Heartland Hospice, 2872 N. Ridge S-122, Wichita, KS 67205.
