Eugenie M. ''Genie'' Cox, (of Genesee) Found Peace on Thursday, July 18th 2024, at the age of 93 years. She was the beloved wife of the late Eugene Cox, her loving husband of 48 years. Genie is the beloved mother of Susan (James) Behn, Cheryl J. (Richard) Sim, Timothy (Cheryl L.) Cox, Jennifer Cox and Jonathan (Danijela) Cox. Cherished grandma of Christopher (Sherry) Kling, the late Jacqueline Kling, Benjamin (Sharon) Cox, Samuel (Josh) Cox, Daniel (Chloe) Cox, Gregory (Chrissy) Sim, Stephanie Cox and Elizabeth Cox. Great-grandma of Christopher Jr. (Jessie) Kling, Brayden (Alyssa) Kuptz, Gabriel Cox. Vincent Cox, Duncan Cox, Tucker Cox and Daisy Cox. Great-Great Grandma of Lorenzo Kling. She is the dear sister of Colleen Papp and Marilyn Papp. Genie is also survived by her very best friend Barbara Clark and other relatives and friends
Genie received her bachelor's degree in nursing from Marquette University She met her husband Eugene when they were both employed by the Milwaukee Health Department and were married in 1955. Genie was employed by a number of health care organizations over the course or her career and retired from the work force as a Nursing Instructor with Waukesha County Technical College.
Genie was an accomplished artist in multiple mediums and was an exceptional musician. She enjoyed gardening, game shows, animals and bird watching. She liked to feed turkeys and at one count had more than 40 turkeys coming over for "lunch".
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 26, 2024, from 9:30 AM until 10:45 AM at ST. PAUL CATHOLIC CHURCH S38W31602 WERN WAY GENESEE DEPOT, WI. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM. Interment will follow at St. Paul Cemetery.
