Euletta Joyce Irvin, 92, was born Sunday, November 26, 1933, to the late John and Cynthia (Jent) Walters. Joyce peacefully left this earth on Friday, December 5th, 2025, at the home of her great grandson, Elijah, in Westfield, Indiana, who was her constant caregiver for the past five years. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and cherished friend to many, she lived a life defined by compassion, selflessness, and unwavering faith. Joyce was known for putting her children-and truly everyone around her-before herself. Her heart was open to all, and throughout her life she became a second mom to countless people who were blessed by her guidance, comfort, and love. Her kindness had no boundaries, and her home and heart were always a place of refuge. Besides being a dedicated homemaker, Joyce worked for others, cleaning houses and caring for children. She also worked for Camp Atterbury, and she was a printer and developer for Roger's Studio. She loved the Lord with all her being. Together with her late husband, Ray, she was a faithful member of Emmanuel Apostolic Church in Martinsville. They especially enjoyed their involvement with their church, and the church's bus ministry and foreign missions, serving others and helping to share joy wherever they could. She also enjoyed going mushroom and ginseng hunting with her husband Ray, it was a pastime they enjoyed until they were no longer able. Joyce's legacy is one of love, service, and steadfast faith. Those who knew her will remember her gentle spirit, generous heart, and the way she made every person feel valued and cared for. She met the love of her life, Ravin "Ray" Irvin shortly after he moved to Indiana from Kentucky and they were united in marriage on May 24th, 1957; he preceded her in death on January 20th, 2021. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, church community, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. She leaves behind her daughters, Machelle "Shelley" Pappas and husband Tony of Greenwood, Indiana, Julia Widener and husband Johnny of Frankfort, Kentucky and Wanda Humphrey of Martinsville; brother, Rodney Walters and wife Suzanne of Plainfield, Indiana; sisters, Gloria Walters of Indianapolis, Indiana and Marcia Trackwell of Nineveh, Indiana; ten grandchildren, Heather, Nikki, Eric, Jessie, John, Bobby, Josh, Abby, Elijah and Christy, several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Dillard and Larry Walters. Family and friends are invited to visit on Wednesday, December 10th, 2025, from 12:00-2:00 pm at Neal & Summers Funeral & Cremation Center.
