Eunice Cunningham, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on December 26, 2025, at the age of 93. Born on November 13, 1932, in Berwick, Louisiana, Eunice was a lifelong resident of the community she cherished deeply.
Known for her love of cooking, Eunice delighted in preparing meals that brought family and friends together. She found joy in tending to her flowers, cultivating beauty in her garden, which reflected her nurturing spirit. A devoted member of her church, Eunice's faith was a cornerstone of her life, guiding her actions and inspiring those around her.
Eunice will be remembered for her unwavering devotion to her family and friends, as well as the kindness and warmth she shared with everyone she met. Her spirit and love will live on in the hearts of all those who knew her.
Eunice is survived by her loving children: Gary Cunningham, Debra Rock, and son-in-law Victor Mitchell. She was a proud grandmother to Carissa Upshaw and husband Mike, Kellie Henderson and husband C.J., and cherished her role as a great-grandmother to Jeremy, Peyton, Addisyn, Delaney, and Carter and one great-great-grandchild, Riverlynn. Eunice's family was the core of her life, and her love for them was immeasurable.
Eunice was preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Eva Sons; one daughter, Darlene Mitchell; two brothers, Lawrence and Chester; and four sisters, Dorothy, Rose, Ida, Eva.
