Eunice Fine Obituary

Published by Macy Allnutt Funeral Service-Eaton Chapel on Sep. 26, 2010.
It is with great sadness that the family of Eunice W. Fine announce her passing on September 26, 2010 at Good Samaritan Bonell Community. She goes to join the love of her life, Donald R Fine, who passed on August 31, 2010. She was born September 28, 1923 to Clarence Wharton and Iona Needs Wharton. She attended public school in rural schools where her father was the principal/teacher. She moved to Greeley to attend high school and graduated from Greeley High. She also graduated from David Lipscomb College in Nashville, Tennessee. She married her high school sweetheart, Don Fine, in 1944 in Greeley. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be greatly missed by her family. She was articulate, charming, smart, witty, had an enthusiasm for life and will be missed by all who were blessed to have known her. She is survived by 2 daughters, Cappie and Elissa (David) Marshall and a son, Todd (Patti). She is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren – Gui (Heidi) Marshall and Emy; Lexee Marshall, Ashley (Joe) Cardiel and Brodie and Lotte; Holly Fine and Quinn Norris; and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her only sister, Wilma. She was a stay-at-home mother while her children were in school. She was a biblical scholar and taught the college and young adult Sunday school for many years at the First Christian Church. She served two terms in the Colorado House of Representatives representing District 50. Over the years, she was active in various PTA's, Weld County Republican Women, Meals on Wheels, Girl Scouts and the Weld County Library Board. Her hobbies included reading, knitting, sewing, travel with her husband and attending all her grandchildren's recitals, sport competitions and school activities. She was a wonderful cook and her home was always filled with family and guests. The family wants to thank the staff at Peaks and Pines at Bonell for our mother's extraordinary care. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 pm, Friday October 8 at First Christian Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Weld County Food Bank in care of Allnutt 702 13th St. Greeley, CO 80631.
