Eunice Parsch, age 85, of Wausau passed away on Friday, September 12, 2025, at The Gardens with her family by her side.
Eunice was born on July 8, 1940, in Mosinee to the late Elgard and Josephine (Svehla) Luedtke. On August 21st, 1960, she married the love of her life, Lorence "Larry" Parsch. Together they shared nearly 65 wonderful years of marriage before Larry's passing on August 16, 2023. Together, they raised two cherished children, Karen and Ken.
Eunice was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who took pride in caring for her home and family. When her children grew older, she began working at Howard Johnson's as an executive housekeeper, a job she excelled at for nearly 35 years.
Outside of work, Eunice found joy in the simple things. She loved tending to her vegetable and flower gardens, though her cacti always held a special place in her heart. She also spent countless hours crocheting afghans and doilies, many times gifting them to her family and friends. She also enjoyed listening to Polka music and playing Moose Farkel with Larry. Eunice was also a faithful member of Zion Lutheran Church in Wausau.
Eunice is survived by her children Karen (Lee) Hamerly and Kenneth 'Ken' (Lisa) Parsch; grandchildren Eric (Brittany) Hamerly, Curtis Hamerly, Ashley Parsch and Corey (Courtney) Parsch and great grandchildren Zayden Hamerly, Adley Hamerly, Tucker Burrero, Grace Parsch and Vivian Parsch. She is further survived by her sisters-in-law Gerri Loy and Marlene Lenz, brother-in-law Lyle Rusch, and many nieces and nephews.
Euncie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Larry Parsch, brother Arnie (Audrey) Luedtke, sister-in-law Jean Rusch, and brothers-in-law Chuck (Gerry) Parsch and Reinie Lenz.
Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 20th, 2025, at Zion Lutheran Church, 709 N. 6th St, Wausau with the Rev. Steven K Gjerde officiating. Visitation will take place from 9:00 AM until the time of service at the church.
The family would like to thank the staff of both The Gardens and Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice for their care and compassion.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Zion Lutheran Church.
