Eunice was born on April 3, 1929 in Lowville, NY, a daughter of the late Emanuel and Christina Moser Lehman. She attended school in Castorland and Lowville Academy. Eunice began working at Castorland Post office before her marriage. On June 22, 1950, she married Wilford B. Roggie at Croghan Mennonite Church with Rev. Lloyd Boshart officiating. Eunice was a faithful Christian wife and mother. She was a member of Croghan Mennonite Church where she taught Sunday School and Bible School for many years. Eunice actively participated in the Sewing Circle for as long as she was able.
She loved her home and caring for her family. Eunice found great joy in her garden and being outdoors. She and Wilford enjoyed walking daily. Eunice had a gift for sewing and she sewed and quilted a quilt for each of her children and grandchildren. They were also gifted with many knitted sweaters and mittens. When she finally had granddaughters, she took great pleasure in sewing lovely dresses for them. Eunice enjoyed reading and often read to her grandchildren. She enjoyed life and looked for the good in others.
