Eusebio Casias Cumpian, Jr., formally of Big Foot, Texas, passed into the hands of our Lord and Savior on October 28, 2025 in Floresville, Texas at the age of 88.
E.C., as he was commonly known, was born in Poteet, Texas on January 24, 1937, to parents, Eusebio G. and Leonides Casias Cumpian. E.C. grew up on the family ranch in Bigfoot, Texas and on October 28, 1957, he married Ida Gonzales in LaMonte, Missouri.
In 1958, E.C. was blessed to begin working for H.B. Zachery Corporation. During his tenure, he traveled extensively throughout the U.S. and Canada in various job positions to support his family and retired after 45 years of service as Environmental Specialist Superintendent.
In 1968, E.C. became a lifelong member of the Church of Christ and attended services in Bigfoot, Texas, until his health prevented his attendance. After retirement, he enjoyed playing cards with his family, watching westerns and listening to Johnny Cash and Flaco Jimenez music.
His legacy includes their sons: Joe W. Cumpian (Casie); Raymond G. Cumpian (Diane); Leonard Cumpian and Orlando Cumpian (Jeanette);
Grandchildren: Matthew Cumpian; Jacob Cumpian; Annalyne Vasquez; Sarah Trowbridge; Julie Worley; Erica Cumpian and Sabrina Cumpian and nine great grandchildren.
Siblings: Raymond Cumpian (Deceased); Minerva (Sevanio) Orta; Joe (Isabel) Cumpian; Tero (Andrea) Cumpian; Eva (Luis) Badilla; Amelia (Rufus) Munoz; Pauline (Ray) Barrera; and Richard (Mary Alice) Cumpian.
Pallbears: Jacob Cumpian; Matthew Cumpian; David Cumpian; Richard Cumpian; Freddy Badillo and Jaime Badillo.
The family wishes to thank Guiding Light Hospice for their compassionate care of our father.

All services will be held on Saturday, November 8th, 2025 at Hurley Funeral Home with visitation from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, and a celebration of life at 12:00 noon. Following services he will be laid to rest at Joe Cumpian Cemetery in Bigfoot, Texas.
