Eva Bloch

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Eva Bloch, who peacefully left us on March 19, 2025 at the age of 98. Surrounded by her loving family, she passed away at home, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, love, and resilience.
Born in Djakovo, Croatia, Eva immigrated to the United States in 1951, bringing with her the strength and determination that would define her life. She embraced her new home in Passaic, New Jersey with an open heart, quickly becoming a cherished member of the community. Her unwavering commitment to family, kindness, and selflessness shaped the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Eva was the proud mother of two children, Roy Bloch and wife Monica and Rita Szeliga, a devoted grandmother to four grandchildren, Stanley Jr. and wife Rebecca, Allison, Rachel, and Catherine, and a great-grandmother to one great-grandchild, Caleb. She was predeceased by her husband Witold, parents Adam and Elizabeth, siblings Joseph and Theresa, and son-in-law, Stanley Sr.
She reveled in her role as matriarch, always offering guidance, support, and love to her family. Her home was a place of warmth, laughter, and generosity, where everyone was welcome and cared for. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild, who will forever carry the lessons of love, resilience, and family that she imparted to them. Her memory will be cherished by all who were fortunate enough to know her, and she will be deeply missed by those who loved her.
A funeral Mass will be held on 10 Saturday, March 22, 2025, at St. Andrew the Apostle RC Church followed by burial at Cresthaven Memorial Park. Viewing 8:30-9:30am Saturday at Allwood Funeral Home, 660 Allwood Road, Clifton, NJ 07012
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Alzheimer's Association or the local chapter of the ASCPA
