Eva A. Burtt

Eva Angeline Burtt, 81, passed away on December 4, 2024, at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover, NH. She was born on October 21, 1943, in Amesbury, MA, to the late Thomas A. Fortier and Evelyn F. (Bishop) Fortier.
Eva grew up in West Epping, NH, as one of nine siblings. In her early years, she worked as a heel padder for the Epping Shoe Shop and National Footwear. Later, she became a clerk at Market Basket in Seabrook, NH, and in her later years, she worked in the kitchen at Phillips Exeter Academy.
Eva was married to Eric Frey for 48 years, and together they built a life in Exeter and later Epping, NH. After Eric's passing in 2014, Eva was blessed to find love again with Alan Burtt, whom she met through her sister Jeannette. Eva and Alan were married on April 18, 2015, at Epping Bible Baptist Church. Their nine years together were filled with love, joy, and cherished memories.
Eva had a passion for music, especially country, and loved singing along to her favorite tunes. Her faith was a central part of her life; she was a proud and devoted member of Epping Bible Baptist Church, where she was baptized and married.
Eva is survived by her loving husband, Alan Burtt, her sisters Jeannette Currier and Lena Hutchin, as well as many extended family and friends.
She was predeceased by her infant daughter, Corrina Angeline Frey, who passed away in 1967 and remained forever in Eva's heart. She is also predeceased by her siblings Joseph Fortier, Richard Fortier, George Fortier, Sydney Fortier, Faye Porter, and Mary Chambers.
A private graveside service will be held for family at Prospect Cemetery, Epping, NH. A memorial service to honor Eva's life will take place on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Epping Bible Baptist Church, 243 Pleasant Street, Epping, NH 03042.
