Eva Carter Goldey (94) of Jessamine County left this world how she loved to spend it, at home surrounded by her family on Sunday, December 22, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jess W. & Zella Peel Carter, 7 siblings – Anna Carter Davis, Mildred Carter Wills, Marguerite Dean Rodrigues, Ray Waldon (Buddy) Carter, Jane Evelyn Williams, Ethel Haven Carter, and Donald Wayne Carter, husband – James Kenneth Goldey, and three children – Larry Nolan Bruner, David Carter Bruner, and Phyllis Goldey Holland. She is survived by her sister Jeannie Teater, daughter Teresa Ann Rose, daughter-in-law Teresa Bruner; grandchildren – Michael (Jodi) Bibb, Melissa Bibb, Nolan (Jessica) Bruner, Shawn (Nikki) Bruner, Daniel Aken (Dawn), Annie (Nicolas) Scott, Jack Brady, Mike (Jami) Brady, and Alycia Armbruster, 12 great-grandchildren, and 4 great- great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 2 pm to 6 pm on Sunday, December 29th, at Betts & West Funeral Home, and a funeral service will be on Monday, December 30th , at 11am at Betts & West Funeral Home, with burial in Bluegrass Memorial Gardens. Pall Bearers will be – Michael Bibb, Nolan Bruner, Shawn Bruner, Mike Brady, Kylon Bibb, and Nicolas Scott. Honorary pallbearers will be – Daniel Aken, Kainen Bibb, Jake Bibb, Chase Bibb, and Joel Ragland. Betts & West Funeral Home is honored to serve Eva and her family.
