Eva McEntee was a life long resident of New Rochelle, born on March 8th, 1949 to William Hitchcock and Winifred (Crosson) Hitchcock. She grew up in an apartment on Main Street with her predeceased sisters, Barbara Hitchcock Seery and Winifred Hitchcock Tyler. Later on in her life, she raised her two daughters in New Rochelle, Janice (McEntee) Murray and Denise (McEntee) Montgomery and spent her later years living in Yorktown with her husband Tony Casale.
In August of this year Eva was diagnosed with cancer and after a short but hard-fought battle, she sadly passed away on September 26th at 74 years old surrounded by her loved ones. She is survived by her husband, her daughters, her son-in-laws, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Eva found the most comfort in being herself. She was caring and devoted to all that she loved. After retiring, she found joy in playing the slots at the casino, going on cruises or finding herself a spot by the pool to soak up some sun.. Above all, she cherished the time she spent with her family. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy, the lessons and memories she taught them hold value that will last a lifetime.
Eva was an inspiration to all who knew her and will be deeply missed. Services for Eva will be held at Lloyd Maxcy & Son Beauchamp Chapel in New Rochelle on Saturday September 30th from 4pm until 8pm.
