Eva Mitchell Obituary
Eva Irene Mitchell, 94 of Beckley West Virginia passed away peacefully on April 9, 2025 after a long and fulfilling life.
Irene was born on April 11, 1930 to Ida Gertrude and Solomon Sinette Reed. She was a devoted wife to her now deceased husband of 58 years, Arnold Ray Mitchell.
Irene is survived by her children, Karen Mitchell Diehl and husband Larry and her son, Mark Allen Mitchell and wife Alicia, two grandchildren, Kristen Lynn Diehl - Tacoma and Charles Mitchell Diehl and four great-grandchildren, Meredith, Elise, Katherine and Anthony.
In addition to being a dedicated homemaker who loved gardening and cooking for family and friends Irene was a lifetime member of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority and a member of the American Legion auxiliary.
Services will be held at Calfee Funeral Home on Thursday April 17, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. Friends may visit with family from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m.. Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
