Eva Parra Obituary
Eva was born and grew up in northern California. She attended Nursing School in the Santa Rosa area and met her future husband, Robert, while on assignment in San Jose.
Eva and Robert married, had children, and lived in numerous places across California before moving to Florida and then Pennsylvania. They lived in Hatboro, Willow Grove, Lansdale, and moved to Christ's Home Adult Retirement Community in Warminster in 2009.
Eva dedicated her life to the care and well-being of others. She was proud to be a nurse, offering her compassionate services in several area hospitals and extending her care through private duty nursing to many individuals. Her love for animals was a common thread throughout her life, from her childhood farm animals to a life of family pets, big and small, passing on the love of animals to her children and their children. She embraced an interest in ancestry long before the internet. She and her husband not only traveled to many parts of the world for adventure but also traveled the United States, tracking down and lovingly documenting her family history.
In 2023, Eva moved to the skilled nursing section of Christ's Home, with Robert by her side every day. They became a beloved couple by staff and residents.
Eva is survived by her husband, Robert Parra, her brother: Henry Colburn (Julia), her children: Stephen Parra (the late Adela), Greg Parra (Michele), and Debbie Parra (Gary Abrams), her grandchildren: Brian Johnson (Ashley), Caitlynn Johnson (Thomas Kane), Stephanie Parra, Brittney Webb (Joshua), Brandon Reynolds, and her great-grandchildren: Gabriel, Morgan, Ellis, Kai, Olivia, Charlotte, and Atticus.
Eva will be remembered by all that knew her for her beautiful smile,playful personality, and her love of animals and nature.
Family and friends are invited to her Memorial Service on Saturday November 15, 2025 at Christ's Home - 1 Shepherd's Way, Warminster, PA 18974 in Smythe Hall. Visitation will be held from 9:30AM –10:30AM with Service starting at 10:30AM. Interment is private.
