Eva Mae Ward, 100, of Tega Cay, SC passed away peacefully on April 14, 2025. She was
born February 14, 1925 in Knox County, Tennessee to Lucy Sands and Joseph E Bates.
She married Everett L Ward on January 9, 1946 after he returned from WWII. They lived in
LaFollette Tennessee, Kokomo Indiana, Tucson Arizona and Miami Florida throughout their
lives. She moved to Tega Cay South Carolina in 2001.
She was an avid quilter and a member of the Lake Wylie Quilters Group. She was an artist
and created many beautiful paintings over the years. She was a member of the Tega Cay
Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband Everett L. Ward and her son Michael Lee Ward.
She is survived by her sons Stephen Ward and Timothy Ward and by her daughter Judy
Herzeca. She is also survived by her grandson, Rodrick Faulkner and her great
grandchildren, Troy Norman Faulkner and Anabelle Marie Faulkner of Tega Cay, SC. She is
survived by her sister Margaret Bates of Kokomo Indiana and many nieces and nephews.
She will be laid to rest beside her husband at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Lake City,
Tennessee.
