Evan Cartozzo

Evan Cartozzo and his charismatic way left for a better place on Friday, April 19, 2024 from his home in Destrehan Louisiana. Evan was 26 years old and did life his way with his breezy charm. He graduated from St. Michael Special School and was a proud member of Gigi's Playhouse and Miracle League Sports. He enjoyed several jobs after graduating and took pride in all his responsibilities.
Evan enjoyed many hobbies and had a propensity for music. He was self-taught on piano, guitar and enjoyed singing. He loved all genres of music with his favorite being Dean Martin. Mondays and Fridays always revolved around Red Beans, Catfish, and Coke ICEE's. He enjoyed riding his bike at City Park, Abita Trace, and hitting buckets of balls at the driving range. His favorite thing was being with his friends at events and parties and most of all Cortez dances. Evan was known for his magnetic personality and talent for entertaining. In his darkest hours he cared about how the rest of us were doing. We will never be the same without him but are forever blessed that he is ours. The way he showed us the meaning of love is a gift that we will always cherish. He was our King of Cool.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Service for Evan on Friday, April 26, 2024 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 500 Minor St., Kenner LA 70062. Visitation will be held at the church from 11am-1pm with the Funeral Mass beginning at 1pm followed by a reception in the LaRose Center next to the Church.
In lieu of flowers, consider a donation to Gigi's Playhouse of New Orleans.
