She retired from the Chickamauga Telephone Company after many years of service.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Ronnie Carr; parents, Claude and Margaret Tarvin; and sister, Opal Bohannon.
She is survived by her son, Joey (Holly) Carr; granddaughter, Josie Carr; sisters, Vera Bridges and Maxine Foutz; brother, Keith Tarvin; sisters-in-law, Donna (Greg) Rhudy and Wanda Carr; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home, LaFayette.
