Boersma Funeral Home75 year old, David D. Carr, of DeMotte, passed away on October 6, 2025, at St. Vincent Heart Center in Carmel, Indiana with his loving family around him.
On May 9, 1950, David was born to William Sr. and Cecelia (Vigil) Carr, in Gary, Indiana. He graduated from Lew Wallace High School, class of 1969. David married the love of his life, Renee Richardson on November 18, 1978, in Hebron, Indiana. He worked as a truck driver for the Teamsters Local 142. David loved Harley Davidson motorcycles, and spent his time tinkering on his motorcycles and cars in the garage. He enjoyed hunting for parts on Ebay, and above all else he loved his grandchildren.
David is survived by his loving family, wife: Renee, children: Angela Carr, Krissy (Nick) Schoon, grandchildren: Brayden, Addison, Makenna, Ellijah, and Hersch, siblings: Peggy Mollick, Susan Carr, Bill (Belinda) Carr, Kathy Wilson, Gary Carr, Skip Carr, Laurie (Dan) Rohder, and Sheila (Greg) Bailey, and son-in-law: Robert Pigg.
David was preceded in death by his parents: William Sr. and Cecelia.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 9:00 until 12:00 p.m. on Monday, October 13, 2025 at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 E. Grove St., Wheatfield, IN 46392. A Funeral Service for David will be held at 12:00 p.m. with Deacon Joe Van Schepen officiating. Interment will follow at the Wheatfield Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
