Age 93, of Sterling VA, formerly of Orland Park IL, passed away on Tuesday, June 13th, 2023 at her home in Sterling VA.
Evelyn is survived by her loving family, children, Timothy (Rose) Donohue, Michael Donohue, Thomas (Lisa) Donohue, Carolyn (Sam) Dalton, Nancy (Bob) Schuma, siblings, Bruce (Nancie) Blumenthal, Linda Ballesteros, 12 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, friends; especially her longtime friend of 65 years, Jane Harding and her sons, Jim & Mike Harding and lastly her beloved companion of 18 years "Baby" her cat.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, Carl & Florence Blumenthal (Kogan), husband, Thomas Donohue and sister Jacqueline Deuser.
Evelyn was a longtime member of Heritage Baptist Church in Frankfort.
Family will receive friends at Heritage Baptist Church, 21739 S. LaGrange Road, Frankfort, IL 60423 on Monday, June 26th, 2023 from 10:00 AM until time of funeral service at 12:00 PM. Interment, Skyline Memorial Park, Monee IL. In lieu of flowers, donations to Heritage Baptist Church would be greatly appreciated. For information, www.kurtzmemorialchapel.com or 815-806-2225.

Ms. Donohue was loved by many. She was such a special woman in my life. I learned many times more of the bible from her than any preacher could have taught me. I have a bible she gave me that she used for years. It has many high lights , arrows and underlines. All of which I have read. I have many cherished memories of here and her family. I love you all. I remember Ms. Donohue saying " The ones who taught you about the bible will be the first to greet you in heaven........I long for that day.
