Evelyn Ruth Flecha

Evelyn Flecha (Stok), age 81, of Ocala, Florida, passed away on January 27th, 2025, at Shands Hospital in Gainesville, Florida.
Evelyn was born in Plattsburgh, NY, to Dr. William Stok and Frances Stok (Reinberger) on May 171h,1943.
She attended high school at Bayside High School in Bayside, Queens, NY.
After graduating high school, Evelyn attended Katharine Gibbs Secretarial School. She had a long, successful career as a well-appreciated secretary to executives, with the final 17 years of her career working as a legal secretary to one of the partners at Sullivan & Cromwell Law Office in NYC.
Evelyn married John Flecha, the love of her life, on July 11th, 1987. They were very happily married for over 37 years.
Evelyn enjoyed traveling the world with her husband, John. She loved playing tennis, spending time with her family, and was also a sharpshooter and accomplished piano player. She was an unbelievable cook and was a force to be reckoned with when it came to making meals, something she absolutely loved doing. As a young girl, she loved traveling with her father and mother, and she took her first trip abroad to Vienna at the age of 16.
Evelyn was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her husband, John Flecha; her brother, Glenn Stok; her three children, Debbie Joyce, Danny Byrnes, and Laura Byrnes; as well as 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, with a third great-grandchild on the way.
Evelyn's funeral service will be held this Tuesday, February 4th, 2025, at Roberts of Ocala, 6241 SW State Rd 200, Ocala, FL,34476, starting at 10 am, followed by a procession and burial at Highland Memorial Park, in Ocala, FL.
Evelyn is finally at peace. She is and will be tremendously missed. she'll be waiting
for John, and they will once again be together and have many wonderful adventures.
