Evelyn Gertrude Marbes

Evelyn Gertrude Marbes (née Patnode), age 101, passed peacefully May 23, 2022. The former Mrs. Wisconsin of 1959 was born and raised in White Lake and attended Northland College. Her husband of 56 years, Louis F. Marbes, preceded her in death in 1997. They lived in Fond du Lac and then Milwaukee until they retired in Weyauwega, WI and Winter Springs, FL. Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, Eudena and Alberta Patnode; and siblings Louella, Maurine, Arthur, Russell and Kathlyn. Survivors include her children Kathleen, Lynda, Diana (Ervin Peterson), Tamara and Geoffrey (Susan), 10 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren and many dear nieces and nephews.
Interment will take place at Wisconsin Memorial Park Cemetery, 13235 West Capitol Drive, Brookfield, Wisconsin on Monday, June 20, 2022, at 10:30AM.
