THOMPSON, Evelyn – of Brant, died Thursday, September 22, 2022, at Covenant Healthcare of Saginaw. She was 87 years of age.
Evelyn was born in Detroit on October 16, 1934, a daughter of John and Clara (Wachowski) Evans. She was united in marriage to Conrad Lester Thompson on August 15, 1953. They had lived in Detroit before moving to Brant in 1989.
Mrs. Thompson was a homemaker extraordinaire. She was a very active member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Detroit and then later in Chesaning. She taught Sabbath School at both churches and was involved in many community activities. While living in Detroit, Evelyn Thompson was very active in many community programs to bring food, clothing, and hope to those in need. After moving to Brant, she volunteered her time at the CAER Center in Chesaning.

Evelyn is survived by her children, Raymond (Cheryl) Thompson of Pinckney, Lisa Marshall, MD of Sand Lake, Tammy (Pat) Lerum of NY, and Dale Thompson of NY; nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ruth Harman of Brant and Dorothy Cole of Holly; two brothers-in-law, Harold Thompson and David Cotton; two sisters-in-law, Marjorie Swamp and Rose Evans; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Leon Evans; and her beloved husband, Conrad Thompson.
A private memorial service will be held later. Contributions given in her memory may be made to the wishes of the family or Chesaning Seventh-Day Adventist Church. You may light a memorial candle or share a memory at misiukfuneralhome.com.
