Everett I. Gorsline, 77, of Athens, PA, passed away following a brief illness, on Friday, February 21, 2025, at Sayre Health Care Center.
He was born on February 24, 1947, in Waverly, NY, the son of the late Isaac and Mavis (Case) Gorsline.
Everett was a US Army Veteran, serving from 1967 to 1970, during the Vietnam War. He loved his family, especially watching his grandchildren play sports. His woodworking skills were amazing and he was to all who knew him a Jack of All Trades. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. One of his great enjoyments in life was playing cards with family and friends, and he loved when his grandchildren would play cribbage with him. Everett was an active member of the Keystone Baptist Church in South Waverly.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his brother; David, and brother-in-law; James Hammond.
Everett is survived by his wife of 54 years; Kelly, 3 sons; Christopher (Kimarie) Gorsline, Philip (Kitsa) Gorsline, and Michael (Abby) Gorsline, and his grandchildren; Kendra, Adam, Nathan, Kaden, Matthew, Ethan, Jacob, Lauren, and Caleb. He is also survived by his siblings; Linda Hammond, Richard (Kathy) Gorsline, Glen (Betty Jean) Gorsline, Bonnie (Dave Post) O'Shea, and Carol Gorsline, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
All services will be private. The family is being cared for by Lowery-Urban Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Athens, PA.
A private burial will be held at the Bumpville Cemetery, Litchfield, PA.
