Obituary published on Legacy.com by Billman-Hunt Funeral Chapel - Minneapolis on Jul. 19, 2025.
It is with deep sorrow and abiding love that the Boima family announces the tragic passing of
our beloved sister, Faima "Saffie" Boima. This sad event occurred on July 8, 2025, in
Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA. While her abrupt departure leaves an irreplaceable void, we
remember her with deep reverence for the life she lived, quiet, compassionate, dignified, and
deeply rooted in faith.
Faima was born to the late Mrs. Hajja Sallay Massaquoi Boima and Mr. Joseph M. Boima Sr.
She was a woman of profound depth, known for her gentle strength and reflective spirit. Many
affectionately knew her as "Saffie," but to her family and close friends, she remained simply
Faima-a steady presence of love and humility. She embraced life's challenges with grace and
found comfort not in noise or display, but in meaningful relationships, quiet service, and the
enduring companionship of her loyal and beloved dog, Simba. Her Christian faith anchored her.
It was not merely a set of beliefs, but a living testimony expressed through her actions,
generosity, and resilience. In difficult seasons, her trust in Jesus Christ never wavered. One of her
most cherished songs, "I Speak Jesus" by Charity Gayle, captures the essence of her hope and
spiritual posture. Through this song and many others, she found strength, healing, and a quiet
boldness to face each day.
Faima's life was marked by a spirit of giving. Whether supporting her family, extending kindness
to friends, or aiding those in need, she served without fanfare. She delighted in simplicity, valued
thoughtful conversations, and radiated peace and wisdom. Her presence calmed storms. Her faith
inspired courage. Her humility elevated others.
She is lovingly remembered by her siblings: Wenifred Marshall (Mr. Adolphus Marshall),
Catherine Boima, Miatta Boima-Mulbah (Mr. Leo Mulbah), Tommy Rex Boima, Joseph M.
Boima Jr. (Mrs. Gladys Boima), Varney Boima, and Wilfred Musa Boima (Mrs. Josephine
Boima). She is also remembered with affection by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and
cherished friends, many of whom were touched by her kindness, quiet strength, and enduring
love.
She now joins in eternal rest with her late parents and her beloved brothers, Tommy
Kpaka and Sonny Boima, whose memories we also honor today. Though she was soft-
spoken, her life spoke volumes. She lived deliberately, walked humbly, and loved
unconditionally. She showed us that strength is found in stillness, and that true beauty is
quiet, unpretentious, and faithful. Her life will continue to echo through the many hearts
she touched. "I just want to speak the name of Jesus " from Faima's cherished song
