Richard John Theodore Geisel, age 89 of St. Anthony Village passed away peacefully surrounded by all his children,
their spouses and grandchildren on 7/21/2025. Preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Betty Jo.; sister Dorothy.
Survived by children Diane (Thomas) McQuarry, Joseph (Laurie), Mary, Barb, Colleen, Robert (Amanda), Susan (Derik) Copus, Charles (Michelle), Patricia (Mick) Amundson-Geisel and Carolyn Geisel; grandchildren Phillip, Gabrielle (Joseph) Emery, Clarissa (Joseph) Geisel, Tony, Kaden, Caraline, Theaodor, Quentin, Gray, Asher, Emma, Andrew, Calvin, and Ty; other loving relatives and friends.
Dick loved watching NASCAR, Perry
Mason and Lawrence Welk. He loved cars all his life. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus for over 50 years. He was a mechanical and design engineer by trade working for Safetran, Portec, Polaris, and Durkee Atwood. He loved taking his family on car ride adventures, playing football in the street, gardening, and attending all his families' sport/school events. He designed and built the house he lived in until his death. Join us in celebrating his faith and life at St. Charles Borromeo Church where he was a lifelong member. Visitation Tuesday (7/29) 4-6 PM at Billman-Hunt Chapel. Funeral Mass Wednesday (7/30) 11 AM with visitation 10 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church 2739 NE Stinson Blvd. 55418.
