Fannie Rose (Campbell) Kerr DeFrancesco, 95, of Ashland, Ohio, formerly of the Norton area and later the Danville and Mount Vernon communities, went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 19, 2025. She was born on August 21, 1930.
Fannie was preceded in death by her first husband, Karl Kerr (2001); her second husband, Steven DeFrancesco (2024); and her beloved sons, John Kerr and Robert Kerr.
She is survived by her brother John Campbell (Patricia); her daughter Karla Kerr; daughter-in-law Debra (Kerr) Craven (Rick) and her cherished grandchildren Heather Mahoney (Michael), Megan Donaldson (Matt), Rachel Bixler (Brock), Jennifer Love (Drew), Josh Kerr (Lisa), Jesse Kerr, Ginna Crawford, and Garth Kerr. She also leaves behind many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren who will carry her memory forward with love.
Fannie began her career at Firestone in the advertising and public relations department after high school, later working in banking before following a new calling-entering nursing school at the age of 49. She dedicated herself to caring for others and retired from her nursing career at the remarkable age of 75.
A devout Christian, Fannie's faith was central to her life. She was deeply devoted to her family and never hesitated to express her love for them. She will be remembered for her infectious laugh, her fond memories of life on the farm, and her joy for gardening.
Fannie's life was a beautiful testament to perseverance, faith, and unconditional love. Her family and friends take comfort knowing she is now at peace with her Lord.
Funeral services will be on Friday, October 24, 2025 – 1:00 PM at Snyder Funeral Home – Lasater Chapel, 11337 Upper Gilchrist Rd. in Mount Vernon. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service. Burial will be in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens.
