Fay Renee Boyer

Fay Renee Boyer (nee Schlenkerman), age 60 of Brooklyn, passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2023. Beloved daughter of the late Raymond and Mary Jane Schlenkerman (nee Mills) and step-mother, Ethel; devoted sister of Gail Shank (Edward), Mark, Daniel (deceased), and Thomas (Teresa); cherished aunt, cousin, caregiver, and friend to many.
Fay was a caring person in both her personal and professional life. She graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from Baldwin Wallace University and then received her Master of Arts Degree in Community Counseling (with a focus on Chemical Dependency) from John Carroll University. She was especially proud of her private practice as a Mental Health Counselor. Fay liked good conversation with family and friends, always having a cheesecake sampler and coffee ready to be enjoyed together. She loved being outside in the warm weather, enjoying things such as community concerts, lunch dates, and visits to Florida. Her smile was contagious. She could put anyone in a good mood with her laugh and her upbeat, positive personality.
Family and friends will miss the little things she did to show she cared, such as her yearly phone calls to sing them Happy Birthday. To celebrate the life she lived, please brighten someone's day as she would have done, with a simple act of kindness.
