Obituary of Fay Marie Lataille
Fay Marie Lataille (Bryant), born June 11th, 1968, passed away suddenly on August 3rd, 2023. Her life was a light to those who were lucky enough to know her and the news of her untimely passing a long shadow.
She was the mother of five children, but known as "mom" to many more. This maternal role extended far beyond the lives she stewarded in their youth. In one career path she fed the students of Unity College and along another she delivered in-home care for the elderly. Her endless, selfless compassion was the very definition of Christ-like and she followed His example with little of the modern baggage that comes with the name.
Fay only knew how to give of herself and did not know the definition of the word "take." She had an uncanny sense for when her children were in distress and would bend over backwards to care for anyone who needed it.
Her life and her journey were marked with loss and sadness, yet somehow she still found the fortitude to give of herself. She had little use for money and no esteem for stuff. Going beyond her means to provide comfort for those she loved, that's all she knew.
Her warm embrace, her laughter, her dancing and her boisterous love will all be missed, and the joy she brought to those who knew her can never be replaced.
She will be buried in a private cemetery on her daughter's property at 741 Moosehead Trail Highway, Jackson, Maine on Sunday, August 13th at 4 PM.
A Celebration of Life for Fay will directly follow at the same location. All are welcome to either event.
